I am working on my BS in psychology at Walden University. There are a lot of things I enjoy. I am happy doing just about anything. I really enjoy hanging out with friends, just chatting, going to the mall together,catching a movie or lunch, or whatever sounds good at the time. I also like computers and technology. I do not think I could live without my computer (and internet, of course, especially since I usually have at least one online class and also use it for research, which I also love. I really love learning new things. I would go to school even if I was not working on a degree just because it is fun, although finals can be stressful. I am majoring in psychology, which I find incredibly interesting. I really like to help people and feel there is a lot I can help with in this field and I will enjoy it at the same time. I also like hiking, camping, fishing, ice skating, swimming, walking around the mall, shopping (especially dollar stores), Euchre, board games, puzzles, , computer games (except first person shooter and RPGs), Dominoes, and music. I really like elephants. I have a small collection of figurines. They are a symbol of physical and mental strength, as well as responsibility and earthiness. In Buddhism the elephant is a symbol of mental strength. At the beginning of one's practice the uncontrolled mind is symbolized by a gray elephant who can run wild any moment and destroy everything on his way. After practicing dharma and taming one's mind, the mind which is now brought under control is symbolized by a white elephant, strong and powerful, who can be directed wherever one wishes and destroy all the obstacles on his way. I think my elephant is somewhere in between. An elephant family is ruled by a matriarch, and generally consist of her female offspring and their young, so it is much the same as the situation I am in now. I love music. I mostly listen to alternative rock. I also like rock, classic rock, oldies, and some of the catchy rap and country songs, although not many. My favorite bands include, Ringside, Unwritten Law, OAR, OK Go, Finger 11, Eels, Hot Hot Heat, MxPx, She Wants Revenge, and The White Stripes. I also love to find new bands, so if you have a suggestion for a band, let me know. I love to watch movies, but I do not always have the time. Some movies I have enjoyed are: Memento, Fight Club, Romeo and Juliet, Donny Darko Strangeland Hostile, Dragon Heart, the Harry Potter movies, Lord of The Rings I am also a mother to a very wonderful six-year-old girl. She is a really great kid and we have a lot of fun together. It was having her that made me want to go back to school. Some things I would like to try that I have not yet done are.... paint ball; it looks like so much fun. Skydiving since I would love to feel like I am flying. I just do not have the cash for it right now. Snorkeling is another. The oceans are so beautiful. It would be so cool to swim with the tropical fish. I also want to go on a hot air balloon ride.
